La French Tech, mais … qu’est-ce que c’est !?

La French Tech is a French government non-profit agency created in 2013.

It is responsible for supporting, federating, and structuring the growth of the French start-up ecosystem, in France and abroad.

The ambition of La French Tech today is to make France one of the most attractive countries in the world for start-ups, talents and investors.

La French Tech consists of 115 branches, 48 in France and 67 abroad, for a total of 1400 volunteers, 70% of whom are entrepreneurs.

La French Tech is present in Indonesia since 2022, in Jakarta and in Bali.

La French Tech Indonesia :

➡ organizes funding pitches
➡ provides learning podcasts
➡ sets up afterwork networking
➡ and publishes newsletters.

The latest newsletter by La French Tech Indonesia was issued last week.

1- Politics

On February 14, 2024, Prabowo Subianto won the Indonesian presidential election in the first round.

He is expected to continue the policies of the outgoing President Joko Widodo which include infrastructure development and a nationalist economic policy.

Subianto promises economic continuity, accelerated growth, and investor-friendly policies.

2- Portrait of a woman entrepreneur

Ms Dian Rosanti has been head of product management at Gojek for 5 years.

Gojek was first established in 2010 as a courier and motorcycle ride-hailing services.

They launched their Super App in January 2015 in Indonesia.

Since then, Gojek has become the leading e-platform in Indonesia.

Providing access to a wide range of services including transportation, food delivery, logistics and more.

Gojek is part of the GoTo Group, the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia.

3- Job opportunity in Indonesia

Connectly is a Silicon-Valley based start-up providing WhatsApp automated marketing B2B services enabled by proprietary artificial intelligence.

It was founded in 2020 by industry veterans from Facebook, Google, Uber, and NASA, and has raised more than USD 17 million.

Connectly now see Indonesia as the next core market of their expansion strategy.

They are looking for an experienced and well-connected Senior Business Development to lead their growth in Indonesia.
