We have some insights for you
Check it out
Last week, EuroCham Indonesia held its Indonesia-Europe Investment Summit 2025
at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta
on 27 Nov 2025.
The theme: Building a Mutual and Resilient Indonesia–Europe Partnership.
We CINTASIA were there along with high-level government officials (BKMP or Indonesian Investment Board), EU member states ambassadors, business executives, and international stakeholders (OECD).
Here are some insights and resources.
Indonesia’s 2024 GDP reached USD 1.4 trillion, per-capita GDP of ~ USD 5000, and 5% growth.
Household consumption remained the main driver, supported by robust investment, fiscal discipline, and stable employment.
The incoming Prabowo administration (2025–2029) aims to acceleratethe downstream industry and secure food/energy needs, targeting USD 800 billion in investment.
A landmark achievement is the Indonesia-EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-CEPA), concluded on 23 September 2025.
Expected to boost Indonesia’s economy by USD 2.8 billion and create up to 5 million jobs, I-CEPA will :
– remove 98.5% of Indonesian tariffs on EU goods
– increase Indonesian exports to the EU by up to 60%
– save European exporters about €600 million annually in duties
– open investment in strategic sectors (EVs, electronics, pharmaceuticals)
I-CEPA strengthens global value chain integration, sustainability, and digital transformation, while maintaining a decade-long trade surplus for Indonesia with the EU, its 5th largest partner.
Overall, despite external headwinds, Indonesia’s fundamentals remain strong, and I-CEPA marks a major step toward higher-value economic growth.
